System administrator
We are looking for a skilled System Administrator to assist in maintaining and supporting our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Linux and Windows servers, virtualization, backup systems, automation tools, network management, and monitoring platforms. This role requires a proactive approach, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and in collaboration with the IT team.
Requirements:
• 2–3 years of experience in system administration, IT operations, or technical support roles;
• Good working knowledge of Linux systems and command-line tools;
• Practical experience with Windows Server and Active Directory basics;
• Understanding of virtualization concepts (Hyper-V preferred);
• Hands-on experience or solid understanding of backup systems (Veeam Backup preferred);
• Experience with or strong interest in Ansible automation;
• Familiarity with NetBox or other infrastructure inventory / IPAM systems;
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including MikroTik devices;
• Basic experience with monitoring systems such as Prometheus and Grafana;
• Basic understanding of IT security principles;
• Ability to work independently on routine tasks and collaborate with a team;
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Responsibilities:
• Assist in administration and maintenance of Linux servers (Ubuntu, Debian or similar): configuration, monitoring, updates, and basic troubleshooting;
• Support Windows Server environments, including Active Directory user and group management;
• Assist with Hyper-V virtualization, including VM provisioning, snapshots, and basic performance checks;
• Participate in backup and recovery operations using Veeam Backup:
• Monitoring backup jobs and alerts,
• Verifying backup results,
• Assisting with test restores and recovery procedures;
• Assist with automation using Ansible:
• Running and maintaining existing playbooks,
• Updating inventories and variables,
• Automating routine administrative tasks;
• Maintain NetBox as a source of truth:
• Updating server, VM, and network inventory,
• Managing IPAM data and basic device records;
• Support and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including:
• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, MikroTik routers (basic configuration, firewall rules, routing, troubleshooting);
• Assist with firewall-related tasks (Fortinet or similar) under supervision;
• Assist with monitoring and observability tools, including:
• Supporting Prometheus for metrics collection,
• Using Grafana dashboards to monitor system and service health;
• Participate in patch management, backup verification, and disaster recovery activities;
• Monitor system and network performance and escalate issues when required;
• Follow security best practices and internal IT policies;
• Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
